Sumo Chew...

Another one of my Kainoa inspired recipes...

You need:
  • 2 cups of spelt flour
  • 2/3 cups carob powder (more if you like it richer)
  • 1/2 cup carob chips (optional)
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 5 good shakes of cinnamon
  • 2 shakes of sea salt (a little electrolytes)
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 8oz (10 oz if you have a sweet tooth) 100% maple syrup
  • 4tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
You do:
Heat oven to 350*. Lightly oil up a muffin pan (makes about 12). I use coconut oil but Pam works too. Mix the flour, carob powder, baking powder, cinnamon, sea salt, & flax seeds together. Add maple syrup, coconut oil, & vanilla. Finally add in carob chips & walnuts. Scoop into muffin pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.

This recipe is vegan so it's great if you have dairy allergy's and take out the nuts if you have any allergy's. Enjoy!

That recipe looks interesting....much different than my normal cooking. I'll have to check it out! I love new ideas for food.
The last 2 posts were pretty funny..."you don't look like any other Bree Wee.." What a riot.
I hope you can all make it to Japan to race! I can't believe you have to qualify over again. Have a great day!

Yum, that looks really good. And I'm guessing if Kainoa likes it, it must taste good too!

I have to admit, I've been wondering how you lucked out with such a cool sounding name. What are the chances you'd marry a guy with the last name, "Wee"? Very cool!

Looks like I'll need to take a trip to Whole Foods to get some of those ingredients! Your little guy is so cute...
I agree with Ange, the last few posts were funny about the Bree Wee stuff!
Question about your Splish suits. Do they have pads in them for biking? And if they do, does Splish add them to your suit especially for you, or can one get a Splish suit with a bike pad in it just from a regular vendor?
I love them! Very cute!

YUM!!! I think I'm going to have to give that a shot tonight! Though I'm not vegan...wondering if spelt flour can be evenly exchanged for regular flour? And same with carob for chocolate/cocoa...hmmm...

I posted recipes today, too. Hooray for yummy recipes!

That is the cutest picture...
