Tropical Sunday...

Sunday started off with a run along the beach. The waves were roaring, the sun was shining, and I was in shorts. It was beautiful! 7:30am Kainoa arrived and the day only got better from there...

We went to 4 beaches, drank Jamba Juice in the sun, made sand castles, played in the surf, collected seashells, and went to the market for fresh fruits & veggies. I love the sunshine!

It feels simply amazing to be back on the island. I returned with some ZEST for triathlon and am excited to start racing again...but... the surf did make that little passion I have for surfing also spring back into my mind.

Looks like this season will be a balancing act like no other...

PS, we have snow! Check out the foto I took from the plane...

Adopt me, please. I'll be the bestest big sister to Kainoa and do all the babysitting you could ever need. HELP A SISTER OUT HERE! After you left, it got super cold again. You took whatever warmth BC had back to Kona with you :(

Now THAT is much more like it!!!
I understand what you mean about the sun...if it rains or is cloudy here more than a day or so, I get into a serious funk! And only the sunshine brings me out of it.
I love the pics.

Ouch! Just reading the last two weeks of your blog make me hurt (but strangely at the same time make me wish I had the opportunity to do the same).

That Argon looks fast! Have a great '09.

Glad you made it home safe and sound! My short trip to Canada made me feel like a stuffed sausage. It's crazy how you get used to wearing shorts and not feeling so confined.Just waaaaaaaaaay to many layers up there.
Have fun with Kainoa and know that we all love you!

You inspired me to try to take some pics of flowers while i was in Mexico! And yummmmmy to the Strawberry Papaya. Just bought one today. Wonder how long ago it was picked and shipped to the Midwest!
Way to endure the Tri camp, whoa nelly.
I just got the Kswiss shoes, I love their tennis shoes so thought i would give them a go. The rep here is super nice so maybe she can get me some deals!
Enjoy your time home.

Ahhh, the feeling of sleeping in your own bed again. Soak up that warmth and thaw out. What are those furry looking pink things? Are they a type of fruit?

Great to see that you made it back home and to your son. Training camp sounded so hard but you did awesome. I am suprised you did not have another 24 hour sleep in the airport. All that travelling also shows you are an endurance athlete :)
Enjoy your runs and playing on the beach with Kainoa.

hey Bree,
I am just wondering what the concoction is that you took when you were sick that made you sweat it out it was some sort of drink i read about on your blog. My gf's father has caught something and i was going to tell him to try it and sweat.
I hope all is well with training.
