Playing In Florida...

It's been super sunny skies, cloudy nights, and orange filled days here in Florida. Today my big sister skipped school, (shhhh, she's the teacher) and we took the boys to Marina Jacks. The very marina my sisters and I grew up at. It was time to let them cause a ruckus and run naked the way we did as little kids...

In triathlon news...

A box showed up at my parents house. It had a real race outfit in it. One the girls & boys of the K-Swiss team are sporting at triathlons around the world. One Belinda won an Ironman in and Amanda won a half ironman in... not to mention the men have been sporting some good results in it too. I've never worn a real outfit that is all "triathlonish". My first few races were in Roxy bikini's, then I got wise and lucky and got on the Splish team.

Here it is:

AND they were nice enough to keep the "Kainoa" on my bottoms! I'm pretty excited to wear it. Of course I will miss my Splish, maybe I will wear it underneath, ha ha.

In record breaking news... I beat my "pack-my-bike" PR today! I got it packed up in 12 minutes! My old record was 14 minutes, seriously, Antonio impresses me more and more every day! Talk about an easy to pack and unpack bike! I can handle that!!

Off to eat more oranges, I gotta load up on the Vitamin C so I don't get the Swine Flu!! Hope everyone is healthy!!

*PS: If you live near Sarasota and want to swim PLEASE join me tomorrow, I miss Kona Aquatics SOOOOOOO much. And if swimming isn't your thing, come run! JEN C, that means you!!

Great pix of Kainoa with the fam! Look at that new tri suit, very high tech. I love that they were so thoughtful.

I'm weird, though. Nothing like just being in a Speedo for me, just a bathing suit, I feel so free in it....even if my junk is hanging out;)

That K-Swiss blue is gorg! I wonder how you are going to feel racing with... egads... a tri pad! ;p

Wish I could swim with you today; alas, must work. Have a terrific one!

That is one sweet tri suit and it was awesome that they put Kainoa's name on your tush.

Words of wisdom, no Splish suits under your tri shorts unless you want some nasty chafing and binding. I know you are one for pulling out new stuff on race day, but hold off on that one until you can try it out in a training situation. The last thing you want is to end up with tiny hairline cuts all over your hiney and around the cha-cha.

That is an awesome kit - now you get to post some top results like the rest of the team. Great pics of the boys - they will cause some serious trouble in the future. When was the last time you raced in shorts? I thought you were strictly a swim suit kind of gal?

Love the pics of the kids! Nice race suit - Kainoa will be pushing your booty and making sure his Momma is going SUPER FAST!!! I put an A&S on my splish that I ordered for Antonio and Shelby:)
Great job on the PR for the "pack-the-bike". Stay away from sick people!!!

Sounds like a fun and beautiful time in FL! Love the "Kainoa" on the shorts! Speaking of K, he's looking like such a little boy now! No more "baby" left in him. So bittersweet!

Sounds like you are having a well deserved "vacation" with your family and friends.

It looks like the kids had a great time with those devilish grins.

I won Monday night tennis league which entitled me to a brand new pair of K Swiss tennis shoes. I asked the pro if I could switch for running shoes.
Gotta say, I love my K Swiss !!

12 minutes to pack your bike and nothing broke or got screwed/scratched up? amazing, by the way. I've only packed one bike so far and I think i was at more like 1 hour and 12 minutes from start to finish. practice makes perfect though!!!

That is amazing to pack your bike that fast. So much to learn from you!! I would be happy to get down to 30 minutes!!
Hope your trip to St Croix was good, we are all cheering for you, have a great race!!!!

Well, I hope you will still be able to get your wetsuit over all that gear - but you probably won't need a wetsuit in St. Croix? Still, the tri suit is no doubt very functional, although I would have thought that brighter colors might have suited you better. Maybe it would be better to post a pic of you actually wearing the suit. That is no doubt what everyone wants to see!

Bree,
I revisited your St Anthonys recap, and didn't watch the running bike jump the first time. It made me laugh after watching this time because I thought of Arnie (you know my famous training partner)and how 20 years ago at St Anthonys he forgot to tighten the skewer on his front wheel. When coming into T2 he tried to jump a curb. You can imagine what happened. Front wheel came out, he had already unsnapped his helmet and he did a concrete face plant with no helmet. Plates and all kinds of neat things in his face now. This is the guy I am going to make an Ironman. Glad he's a good businessman. He always has that to fall back on.
