St. Croix 2008 photos...

On the way to St. Croix...

A view from my home stay... Simply amazing!

The ELF & I...
Island under 7 flags "St. Croix"
The "Hot Corner"

Brian and Faris (and Mitch-not pictured) had to fix my bike the day before the race. I had no idea what I did to it but it didn't feel like changing to my easy gears (the ones I wanted for the Beast). Nice work boys... and Mel thanks for keeping me company at that crazy house!

A trip as far East as you can go in the USA & some beach shots...

This is the cay we started the swim off. It was pretty cool to swim from one island to another even if it was really close.

Swimming in the Caribbean...

Race day photos... Thanks Dawn (Splish!) for another fun suit... and HUGE mahalo's to Patty and John for making me feel at home in St. Croix! You were an amazing home stay!

Post race party... Oh my goodness I haven't been to a "party" in so long I forgot how to even socialize! I clung to Mel and laughed at some funny drunkards and chick fights. It was pretty cool getting to hang out with some pro-triathletes in a non-race setting. Game faces off- had to laugh! Photos with Felicity Hart & Mel...

Listen to the steal drum bands...

Friday was a huge party in the streets... the mocojumbies were there giving us all a real fun taste of local St. Croix adventure. I loved it so much I had to buy a steal drum CD to play here at home! Let me know if you want me to burn you a copy...

Wow! I love the islands. I'm signing up for this race next year. Looks awesome.

Steel drum CD sounds jam up.

And on the holding breath question...my record is 3 lengths (SCY).

Safe travels!

Sweet pics! I think I've gotta do St. Croix 70.3 sometime soon! I love how you're smiling in all the race photos - all mine usually include some sort of frown or pained look...photographers are really amazing at getting pictures while I'm suffering! :)

Killer pics. Thanks for sharing. Too funny that guy flipping the bird in your party shot.

Thanks for sharing so many pics. Clearly, going to St. Croix is much more than just having a race. From the pics of you, I am not surprised you finished so well - even more muscle than a year ago in Kona.

Bree....what the $%#@? the post on Mel's blog about 3 hour phone call? I sure hope the girl I have hots for doesn't find Mel's blog and your silly comment!! Have you taken your medication today? Girl you've gone crazy just like Mel. Why you start these rumors I have no idea. What is your motive?
I see how you are now. Game on...bring it sister!!

Oh the game is on dolphin boy... and by the way, no meds here, thats ALL you. I heard you tripped over your nose hairs and sprained your ankle! AND I have your shirt from St. Croix... wanna meet at Jamba if you can even walk!!! AND thanks again for getting Brooke from the airport yesterday... she said you are the worst driver! I heard you ran over a lawn mower!

Patrick said...

Hey Dumpster girl....that's really funny! Nose hairs!! LOL! Mail my T-shirt to my PO Box, I'm affraid to get near you for fear of smelling like cat poo and dead bugs! Any by the way, Brooke was all over me in the car, that's why she thinks I'm a bad driver. And no it wasn't a lawm mower I ran over it was your Tri Bike!
Bring it...

It sure looks like I missed out on some converssation with you and dolphin boy....
Bree you should have seen him all over me in the car ride home...
Ha ha ha ha ha

Patrick said...

What is it with you Myers' girls? Did you guys switch medications?
Apparently your sister has been dreamin' lately. Brooke needs to spend more time on her bike training for Honu rather than on me. She still needs some training in that dept too! haha!

The cyclone was a long, long way from here. Even if we were to experience one, those of us in the cities are much better prepared. In the past when traveling in Thailand I have been to the Burmese border, but never inside, mainly because of the restrictions. The situation there is very serious. I hope the people get help and some good comes out of it all.

Nice job.

Hi Bree..
Congrats on an AWESOME race! Looks like it was a blast. Do you race 70.3 Hawaii every year? Looks like a great race...I'd like to get all of the "blogger gals" to meet up there in '09...Are you in?

Wooooooooooooow! So purdy! YOu are one lucky duck.

By the way, just out of curiosity, what percentage of your wardrobe either has a map of Hawaii, the word Hawaii, an abbreviation for Hawaii, or the Hawaiian flag on it? Just wondering...
